REGISTERING FOR VPK

Hello parents!
The new school year will be here before you know it.
If you plan on attending Little Ones Academy in August, we are now accepting VPK certificates for the upcoming school year.

In our VPK program, your little one(s) will soon be embarking upon new territory. Volunteer Pre-K prepares children to be ready for school. Children who participate in high-quality early childhood education programs develop better language skills, score higher in school-readiness tests, and have better social skills and fewer behavioral problems once they enter school.

All of our students who graduate from our VPK class are well-equipped for kindergarten and academically surpass the knowledge required for their age group. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to have your child kindergarten-ready!

WHAT IS REQUIRED TO REGISTER FOR VPK?

Your child must be 4 years old on or before September 1st of the current year to qualify for the VPK program. Every 4-year-old child qualifies regardless of parental income. No one is turned down.

Please register at www.vpkhelp.org and midway down the page to the right, click on the blue circle that says: “Click Here to Register Your Child For VPK”. Once you have completed the online application you can upload your paperwork to their database here at Little Ones Academy if you’re unable to do it from home. Once you receive your certificate please print it, sign it, and date it in the parent signature section then turn it in to our office. Together we will create bright and unique futures for your loved one(s).

You will need the following to complete the online VPK registration process:
  • Child’s birth certificate or Immunization Form
  • Parent’s I.D showing address (Driver License)

BENEFITS OF EARLY EDUCATION AND THE VPK PROGRAM

  1. The most important growth and development in the brain happens by the age of five.
  2. The early years are the learning years. A child’s ability to be attentive and to follow directions emerges in the early years. Structured early learning fosters these abilities for later success in school and life.
  3. Pre-K prepares children to be ready for school. Children who participate in high-quality early childhood education programs develop better language skills, score higher in school-readiness tests, and have better social skills and fewer behavioral problems once they enter school.

The uniform must be worn with the school logo. Homework is given every week and should be brought back the following week.

Being in the VPK class is crucial to the learning process of your child. They will be learning sorting, the difference between his / her / mine, sequencing, things that don’t belong, compound words, word problems, subtracting and adding numbers, word blending, pairing, matching, learning to write their names, the who what where when why and how, plus much more. The wealth of knowledge your little one will leave with upon graduating is unparalleled by any other preschool in Miami. If you’re looking for a school that will prioritize your child’s education and ensure he/she is ready for kindergarten you have found it!
